Before we get into it, the reason why Xiaomi postponed the launch is most likely the death of the former President of the People’s Republic of China, Jiang Zemin. That’s just a guess, but it’s the reason some other companies did the same thing.
The Xiaomi 13 series specs, colors & more images appear ahead of launch
In any case, according to Ishan Agarwal, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will be on offer in four setups. We’re looking at two 8GB RAM setups, and two 12GB RAM steups. The 8GB RAM models are said to include 128GB and 256GB of storage, while the 12GB RAM models will ship with 256GB and 512GB storage setups. The tipster also added that the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage models will offer UFS 3.1 flash storage. All the other models will include the latest UFS 4.0 flash storage. All devices will, however, include the latest LPDDR5X RAM. The Xiaomi 13 series will include at least four general release color options, and one limited editing version too. It is said that the ‘Distant Mountain Blue’ model will deliver a leather-back finish. The Wilderness Green, on the other hand, will include a glass back. The two other models are the Ceramic Black and Ceramic White, which are self-explanatory.
Some camera, battery & charging information also surfaced
Another tipster, Panda is Bald, shared some information regarding cameras and battery packs. The Xiaomi 13 is said to include a 54-megapixel Sony IMX800 main camera, with OIS. A 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (OmniVision OV13B sensor) will also be included. The same goes for a 10-megapixel Samsung S5K3K1 telephoto unit (3.2x optical zoom). A 4,500mAh battery is tipped for the Xiaomi 13, along with 67W wired, and 50W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 13 Pro, on the other hand, is said to include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 main camera (1-inch sensor) with OIS. A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (Samsung JN1 sensor) will also sit on the back, as will a 50-megapixel JN1 telephoto camera (3.2x optical zoom). This device will likely include a 4,820mAh battery, offer 120W wired, and 50W wireless charging.
Check out the design of both phones
That’s not all, though. It seems like Xiaomi shared two images of the Xiaomi 13 series. You can see those images below. The first image shows both devices, while the second one shows a part of the Xiaomi 13’s front side. The two phones also appeared on both BIS and SIRIM databases. Those two certifications confirm global models will be available, as they are for Malaysian and Indian markets.
