And it seems that’s going to change when the update goes live on January 12. Unfortunately, the support won’t be there in time for the holidays. Which would have been a perfect time to check it out on Steam Deck as most people will no doubt have extra time to play with it. But all is not lost since the update is only a few weeks away. Outside of PC controller support, season 2’s update will introduce quite a few additional improvements.
PC controller support is one of many new features coming to Torchlight: Infinite
Season 2 ushers in a new story called the Shattered Blacksail. You can watch a sneak peek trailer for the new season above, but the gist of it is you enter a new area called the Sea of Void. Where it sounds like you’ll eventually have to face off against the Lord of the Void Sea. Players will get to try their hand at new endgame content for new loot drops. And should they best the Lord of the Void Sea they can acquire one of several new pieces of legendary gear. The game will also be getting new gear slot and skills including Moon Strike, Howling Gale, Thunder Slash, Blazing Bullet, and Haunting Abomination. and if you played the game at all during season 1, there should be some “Christmas goodies” coming your way once season 2 drops. Torchlight: Infinite is available now on Android and iOS, as well as on PC via Steam.
