Firstly, well-known industry insider Evan Blass published a front image of the unfolded Galaxy Z Flip 4 in four colors: gray, purple, gold, and light blue. As suggested by numerous leaks in the past, the device hardly looks different from its predecessor, i. e. the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The microphone holes, speaker grille, and USB Type-C port are in the same place at the bottom. The volume control and the power button also don’t move. The latter is slightly recessed as it also doubles up as the fingerprint scanner. The raised bezels around the display appear ever so thinner but the earpiece grille and the hole-punch selfie camera are of identical size. The only notable difference over the 2021 model is the flatter frame. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 gets a slightly boxier profile. The other leak that we have today also shows the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the same cour colorways. But this time around we have a folded device with its top half on exhibit. We also get a look at its side profile from the left. This image reveals the position of the SIM tray, two rear cameras, LED flash, and the secondary display. And pretty much everything is unchanged once again. But we are expecting the outer display to be slightly bigger — from 1.9-inches to 2.1-inches. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is also said to be available in a Bespoke Edition. So there will be a lot more choices for the back panel and frame colors. Rumors have it that you will get to choose from a staggering 900 possible color combinations for the phone. Even the standard edition may offer more than four color options. We will find out soon.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 4 early next month
Samsung has yet to reveal when it will officially announce its next-gen foldables. But it’s pretty much confirmed that the big launch event will take place on August 10. Alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 4, the company will also unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. The Korean firm will likely announce the date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event this week. We will let you know when it does.
