Back at the I/O 2021 Event, Google announced multiple incoming features for Google Assistant with Android 12. Now, in the decompilation of the latest version of the Google Assistant app uploaded to the Play Store, folks at 9To5Google have actually managed to enable the Quick Phrases feature. One important thing to note about APK Insight posts from 9To5Google is that features discovered during the decompilation of APKs may or may not make their way to the stable release....

It is still the smallest market for used smartphones though. India, with a growth of 25 percent YoY, has leapfrogged Southeast Asia and Africa to become the third-biggest market for refurbished smartphones, behind China and Europe....

Images and videos posted on Twitter Monday morning showed a thick cloud of black smoke engulfing the skyscraper after the missile strike. As per Samsung’s updated security bulletin, the October SMR contains fixes for more than three dozen software vulnerabilities found on Google’s Android OS. The Korean behemoth apparently wants to expand the production of its Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series foldables. It aims to sell no less than 25 million units of the next-gen foldable devices in a year. According to the new report, the Galaxy A14 bears the model number SM-A146B, which means it will offer 5G connectivity. Android Central reports (via) that several users are facing this issue. While Samsung hasn’t published a statement on the matter yet, it seems like the company has acknowledged this concern. Some impacted customers are reportedly getting a full refund. Moreover, Samsung is also supposedly paying the medical bills of some users. The use of components like nickel and acrylate on the earbuds could be causing ear infections Since this incident only came to light recently, there’s no information on what’s causing ear infections among customers....

“The decision is imminent. My experience with Samsung is that they move nimbly and swiftly,” the publication cites Judge Bill Gravell of Williamson County, Texas as saying. The report notes that Williamson County is in the running for the new Samsung factory. Officials from the county have been meeting Samsung executives since January this year to try and woo the company to pick their site. Gravel, who was in charge of negotiating a deal with the Korean behemoth on behalf of his county, seemed confident that the company would construct the factory in the county....

According to USA Today, Samsung customers have been complaining about various problems with their refrigerators in recent months. Reported issues include malfunctioning ice makers, over-freezing, water leakages, fire hazards, and food spoilage. Many customers have reported that refrigerators are running above the normal temperature range in which food can be stored safely. This spoils the food, causing various stomach-related ailments. The Consumer Product Safety Commission hasn’t issued any warning or recall notice to Samsung yet....
